Lexmark - who are they?

Models for home use and larger corporations are available. With over 13,000 employees across the world and 4,000 at their headquarters alone, Lexmark has come a long way from its birth in the early nineties. They currently make third-party products for other companies including Dell. With $5.2 billion in revenue in 2005 alone and as a current Fortune 500 company, it is no wonder why Lexmark is one of the leading printer companies in the world. Lexmark was the first company to offer an inkjet printer for under $100 (USD) and were also the first to promote a 4800 x 1200 dpi and a 3600 x1200 dpi resolution. Keeping on the trend of “firsts” they were also the first company to make a photo printer that could work on its own as a stand alone model.
